How Much Does Window Tinting Cost?

(Q) Does the Window Film Brand Really Matter?

Answer: Absolutely! As with every other industry, quality and features differ from brand to brand, and even from product to product within each window tinting film brand. All vehicle tinting films are not the same, and there are statistics to prove it. Ask your vehicle tinting company which window film brands they carry, and do some research on each of the brands yourself.

(M) My Vehicle’s Windows Already Block UV Rays

Fact: Yes and no. Your windows do block some UV Rays from entering your vehicle, however, not nearly enough to truly protect you from the damage they can cause. Your auto glass, allows UV (ultraviolet), IR (infrared) and visible light through. Car tinting film is designed to reject 99% of UV and IR light while allowing visible light to pass through the film.

(M) Anyone Can Install Window Tinting Film

Fact: Yes, we do live in America, which is still the land of the free. Anyone can install and apply car tint film, but not everyone can do it correctly. There are reasons people receive training for the things they do, and the Mobile Car Tint industry is no exception. An unexperienced hand attempting to apply tint film will often end up with uneven tint, bubbling, creases in the film and even dirt between the film and the window. So, while anyone CAN apply car tint film, we suggest you leave that to the car tint professionals.

(M) All Window Tinting Film Peels and Fades at some point

Fact: Yes, it just depends on when you would like “some point” to be. If you decide to purchase low quality, cheap tint film installed by a fly-by-night car tint company, that “some point” will be much sooner than the top of the line NanoTechnology Car Tint Film we use at Car Tint, which has a lifetime warranty. That means our car tint film is not coming off of your car until you want it to come off.

(M) I Can Just Tint My Own Car and Save Money

Fact: You can attempt to tint your own car, however it may not save you money. You will still have to purchase the car tint film yourself, which you will most likely not get at wholesale rates. If you make even one mistake, the car tint film you were using is now ruined. Removing car tint can be a difficult process, and expensive if you are paying someone to do it because car tint film leaves behind a very sticky residue. In addition, it is very important that you understand which type of tint film you need to use for your vehicle, as well as your states current tint film laws.

(Q) How Long Should My Vehicle Tint Last?

Answer: That is a question you need to ask the car tint company you are considering. At Mobile Car Tint Company we offer a lifetime “no-peel” guarantee, which means that if one of our jobs peels or fades, ever, we will replace it for you. Some companies offer very low car tint prices or offer you a low car tint quote, because they do not offer any form of guarantee or warranty on their work. Make sure the tint company you are considering stands behind their work.

(Q) Every Brand Has Many Products, Which One Should I Choose?

Answer: This is something you need to discuss with the tint company you are considering using. Tell them your vehicle make and model, what the vehicle is generally used for, and what you feel your needs are. They should be able to determine which of their products will best suit your needs and your budget. Something else to be aware of, any experienced company should already ask you these questions about your car, if they don’t , that may be a red flag.

(M) The Window Tinting Industry is Regulated, Just Like Everything Else

Fact: False. There are very loose regulations on the car tint industry, meaning anyone can claim they know what they are doing. Just because someone offers you a low car tint price and a smile that does not mean you should choose them. Look for companies that hold themselves accountable to the rest of the industry with associations like the IWFA (International Window Film Association). Look to see if they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau and what their current ranking is. It would also be wise to search the web for reviews on the tint company.

(M) This Company Has a Lower Window Tinting Price,Therefore they are Better

Fact: False. As we stated above, many of the companies offering you very low car tint prices are able to do so because they use cheap window film or cheap labor, neither of which is optimal for your vehicle. Do your homework, if someone offers you a considerable low window tinting quote, check to see what window tinting brands they use, find out if they are certified and accredited.

(Q) How Much Does Window Tinting Cost?

Answer: That all depends on the window tinting company you are using, the make and model of your vehicle and on any window tinting specials or window tinting deals you are using. We are periodically adding new window tinting deals and window tinting discounts at Car Window Tinting, to create a better experience for our customers.
